Are you considering law school or already applying? Join Liberal Arts alumni currently attending Law School to learn more about the applications process as well as the educational experience. 

Various alumni will join us from different years and types of law schools to share their tips, suggestions, and experiences.

Panelist Bios:

Genevievre Miller, '20 (2L, Northeastern University Law School, Boston, MA)

  • Genevievre graduated from Penn State this May completing degrees in Political Science and African Studies. During her time at Penn State, Genevievre got involved in UPUA where she served as the student liaison to the Borough. This fall, Genevievre started her first year at Northeastern University School of Law in Boston. She hopes to pursue a career advocating for marginalized communities.

Daniel Zahn, '20 (2L, Stanford University Law School, Stanford, CA)

  • Daniel Zahn is a second-year student at Stanford Law School. In Spring 2020, he graduated from Penn State with BAs in English, Philosophy, and Communications Arts & Sciences. At Penn State, Daniel was involved with the Mock Trial Association, University Park Undergraduate Association (UPUA), Paterno Fellows Program, Schreyer Honors College, and Presidential Leadership Academy. In law school, he is focused on First Amendment and election rights litigation. He is on the Stanford Law Review, is on the Stanford Journal of Civil Rights and Liberties, and serves as the co-president of the Election Law Project and Jewish Law Students Association.

James T. Smith, '19 (3L, James E. Beasley School of Law, Temple University)

  • James Smith graduated from Penn State University in 2019 with a Bachelor of Arts in International Politics and a Minor in Spanish. James is currently a 3L at Temple University Beasley School of Law, where he serves as a Managing Editor of Temple Law Review, Volume 94 and a Judicial Extern in the U.S. District Court of Eastern Pennsylvania. James will be joining the Tax Controversy practice of a big law firm in San Francisco starting in the Fall of 2022.

Alannah King, '20, '21g (1L, Charles Widger School of Law, Villanova University)

  • Alannah King graduated from Penn State in 2020 with her Bachelor of Science in Criminology and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. Alannah then continued her education at the Penn State School of Public Policy and earned her Master in Public Policy in 2021. She is now a J.D. Candidate at Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law where she is studying as a Public Service Scholar.

Peyton Woodward, '20 (2L, Penn State Law)

  • Peyton Woodward is a second-year law student at Penn State Law. She graduated from Penn State in May 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in economics and a minor in history. This past summer she interned with Justice Suzanne Adams of the New York Supreme Court, Civil Branch. At Penn State Law, Peyton is an Associate Editor of the Arbitration Law Review, a student representative for LexisNexis, a student admissions counselor, and a member of Penn State Law Benefitting THON, the Corporate Law Society, and Phi Delta Phi Legal Honor Society.
