Bio
Born in 1953, Obi Okoli is essentially a theater and film person. He holds a Division One Certificate of the 1972 West African Examination Certificate (WAEC). He graduated from the University of Ibadan in 1979 with a Second Class Upper Division Certificate, and he holds a master's degree in film at the University of Ibadan.

He lectured in the Department of Theatre and Film Studies at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka from 2011 to 2022. Since he entered Nollywood in 2004, he has acted, directed, and produced over 400 films. As a television producer, he has produced at least 250 TV dramas for Nigerian Television Authority Channel 6, Aba where he worked as a producer, director, and newscaster from 1981 to 1999, after which he voluntarily retired.

He has over forty years of experience as a professional filmmaker and TV personality, and he has had professional training in both Nigeria and Denver, Colorado.
