SUMMARY:Abram Foley “O’Briens and Archives: On Comparison and Contemporary Liter
	ature”
DESCRIPTION:\nThis paper looks to several figures and formations in post
-WWII literature—including Flann O’Brien\, the Dalkey Archive Press\, Ga
yatri Spivak\, and Felipe Alfau—who have drawn on the problem of textual
overabundance in order to theorize about literary assembling as a metho
d of comparison. While my paper focuses primarily on printed media\, esp
ecially the novel and the backlist of an American publisher\, this paper
should engage those interested in literary comparison\, remediation\, a
nd textual methodologies that double as theories for assessing literatur
	e today.\n\nFor more details: https://events.la.psu.edu/event/abram-fole
