The goals of the teaching community include fostering ongoing learning, academic learning, social support, and research development in the domain of environmental sustainability.

The direction of each meeting is guided by the group members and what they find most useful. Examples of what the community might do include: finding books and podcasts to discuss and potentially add to syllabi and "deep diving" into classroom experiences to workshop adding sustainability to courses across the college.
