Hosted by the Penn State School of Public Policy

Join us for the 2026 Local Government Expo, an exciting opportunity to explore careers, internships, and pathways in local government while connecting directly with professionals shaping policy in our communities. Local governments play a critical role in addressing today’s most pressing policy challenges, from infrastructure and economic development to public health and sustainability, making these connections invaluable for students pursuing careers in public service.

The Expo will feature a career fair followed by an interactive policy simulation where students will experience the decision-making process firsthand, tackle real-world issues, and see how policy is developed, negotiated, and implemented at a local scale.

Don’t miss this chance to network, learn, and engage with the people and policies making an impact at the local level!
