Roundtable Discussion of the Constitutional Status, Historical Background and Lived Experience of Birthright Citizenship

The U.S. Supreme Court is set to hear arguments in the case of Trump v. Barbara, during which the U.S. administration is asking the justices to reconsider the Fourteenth Amendment’s guarantee of birthright citizenship, on April 1. This event will bring specialists in law, history, and sociology together with an audience to discuss the constitutional questions, historical background, and policy implications of the case.

The roundtable discussion is co-sponsored by the Latino/a Studies Program, the Center for Immigrant Rights Clinic, and University Libraries.
