“The Dead Sea Scrolls and The History of Judaism”
A Talk with Lawrence Schiffman

The Dead Sea Scrolls are one of our major sources for the reconstruction of the history of Judaism between the close of the Hebrew Bible and the rise of rabbinic Judaism and Christianity. This illustrated lecture will explain how the Scrolls have provided a new perspective on this period and how they have reshaped our understanding of Judaism in the Second Temple period.
